By using modern digital methods, it is now possible to repair old photographs without damaging the original. A good family snapshot can become a great old photograph by fixing flaws like rips and tears. Image restoration-repair is always done by hand, using Adobe Photoshop software. If you have an old photo that is showing its age I can help bring it back to life! I can also: - I can scan and copy old slides, tin type photos and 35mm negatives - take out or put in people or objects in photos - restore wedding photos - scan and put on CD your old family photos in a web photo gallery or on a DVD that can be viewed on your television or home computer. - enhance faded colour photos, take out the yellow in old Polaroids - restore water, fire damaged photos - enlarge, crop photos - put together photos that have been cut, ripped, or fell apart - Restoration Examples Quality: Now one can guarantee a 100% restoration and each job is different but I do guarantee a fast turnaround time, quality work, and the best rates in Fredericton and New Brunswick. Professionally trained with over 7+ years of experience along with many satisfied customers. Now over 200+ restorations finished. I use the exact same computer software that the large photo labs have (with the same training) and can keep the costs down. Other places (like Black's or Harvey's) can charge 4-6 times the price that I charge! See a sampling of some of the restorations I have done, follow this link. Pricing: The price for colour or black and white restoration all depends on the amount of work required in order to restore it but it usually ranges from $22 for minor work and copies up to $50 Canadian or more for more detailed work. The average price I charge has been $30 as of late. Also the quality of each photo restoration all depends on the amount of damage to the original photo, it's lighting, fading, quality of photo, enlargement, rips, tears, etc. Results will vary with each photo. The finished copy will be printed out on high quality photographic paper (Kodak, Georgia-Pacific, or Epson paper). I can also "burn" the restored photos onto a CD for you for a few dollars more. Discounts for bulk restoration orders. I can also scan your old, or new, family photos and put them on a CD in a photo album type format! Makes for a great gift idea. Its good to keep your family photos in digital format as a backup for a safety deposit or fire box. How To Go About Getting A Photo Restored: . * Note: If you live outside the Fredericton area and want to email/mail me the photos: 1) Scan the photo (color or b/w) at 300 to 500 dpi - high quality jpeg ot tiff (about 3-5 MB file size) Do not make any adjustments to the photos during or after scanning. 2) Send by email (a low resolution one is good if you just want an evaluation first) 3) Receive a free price quote by email or phone. No work is done until I give you a free quote first and you agree to the cost and mail in the $20 non-refundable deposit. 4) Send in payment via certified bank cheque, international money order or In'tl Western Union in US or Canadian dollars. DO NOT send the green US money order as its no longer valid in Canada, only send the PINK International money order! Be sure to include your full mailing address and the size of photo you want done and the quantity. 5) In approx 1-2 weeks receive a fully repaired restored photo by email or mail. Shorter return time within Canada, allow an extra week to two for US or other destinations. If you mail it in: Put the photos between two pieces of cardboard or similar protection. The cardboard should be a bit larger than the largest photo. Then use a padded waterproof mailer/envelope. The shipping containers should be marked "Do not bend" on both sides. If you have to sign a customs declaration form for the outside of the package make sure the value is labelled of "0 value". This is to avoid customs hassels. NOTE: There is now a $20 Canadian non-refundable deposit required before work can start on a restoration. This is to cover my time and some paper/ink costs. Be sure to include your name, full address, phone number, email, payment (after you receive a quote by email or phone for the final price), size of photos and quantity required and any mats required. If you have any questions please email or phone me first to avoid any delays in the restoration process. And please make sure you send the right money order in! Email or call me first before sending otherwise I may not be able to return your restored photos if you don't send the correct payment in. Thank you! :-) |
